Hit and run crash leaves one woman dead

A car crash occurred at the corner of Alter Road and Mack Avenue on Thursday, October 31, leaving one woman dead.

Detroit police said a van crashed into the side of an SUV around 3 a.m. on the 31st, instantly killing a woman who was a passenger of the SUV. The police added that after the crash, the driver of the van left the scene by walking away, but was caught after about an hour.

An investigation is still underway to determine if the suspect was intoxicated.
