Detroit Police seek tips on July 4th hit-and-run suspects

At around 6:20 p.m. on Monday, the 4th of July, a 58-year-old man was killed while crossing Schoolcraft Road at Schaefer when he was struck by a speeding car. The victim’s name has not been released.

Investigators say a black Chevy Impala or Caprice was involved and they’re tracking down two suspects who were in that car — described only as a black male and a black female. Anyone who witnessed this crime or who has any information is asked to call the Detroit Police Department’s Fatal Squad at (313) 596-1462.
